Ronald McDonald House Newcastle CEO Walk In My Shoes fundraiser

We couldn’t be prouder of our Managing Director, Grant Robson, for personally raising over $26,000 in the recent Ronald McDonald House Newcastle CEO Walk In My Shoes fundraiser!

Participants immersed themselves in ‘a day in the life of a family with a seriously ill child’ at the Ronald McDonald House Newcastle. During the 22 hour event the group gained insights into the breadth of the Ronald McDonald House services while getting involved and cooking meals for the current occupying families.

Occupying families shared stories about their individual situations, which resonated with Grant as he and his wife had a baby 13 weeks premature. As young first-time parents, having a service such as this would have greatly alleviated logistical challenges and stress during that trying time for his family, so this charity is close to his heart.

The group raised a whopping $49,000, equivalent to an entire year at the Ronald McDonald House Newcastle! Congratulations to all participants for making a wonderful impact on the families who will receive much needed support while their child undertakes life saving treatment.
