Robson Civil Projects is proud to support General Manager Greg Ferguson as he prepares to take on the 2026 Big Three Trek in support of the Mark Hughes Foundation and brain cancer research.
This year, Greg will complete the 150km trek alongside Chris York of Commworx, a long-standing supporter of Robson Civil Projects and former Robson employee. Chris now leads his own successful labour and plant hire company, Commworx, which continues to work closely with Robson operations across a number of projects.
The Big Three Trek is far more than a walk — it is a powerful movement raising awareness and vital funds for brain cancer research. The event sees participants walk 150km over just three days, travelling from NRL Headquarters in Moore Park to Newcastle’s McDonald Jones Stadium.
Bringing together business leaders, community members, sporting personalities, and individuals personally affected by brain cancer, the trek highlights the importance of continued research, support, and awareness for those impacted by the disease.
For Greg and Chris, the challenge is not only a significant physical undertaking, but an opportunity to contribute to a cause that touches many Australian families.
“Events like the Big Three Trek show the incredible impact communities can have when people come together behind an important cause,” Greg said.
At Robson Civil Projects, we are incredibly proud to see Greg representing our business in this year’s trek and to see Chris joining him in support of such a meaningful initiative.
We wish both Greg and Chris the very best as they prepare for the journey ahead and look forward to following their progress throughout the trek in June.
The 2026 Big Three Trek commences on 26 June 2026.
