The Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility Project involved construction of 2 full-sized synthetic football fields, 12 five-a-side synthetic football fields, reticulation of services, access road and 120 space carpark and administration building pad preparation.
Highlights
- Robson worked closely with the client to ensure the works were delivered ahead of time. The project program was critical to ensure the facility was open for the International Children’s Games.
- The facility was constructed on a site which was previously used as a waste refuge and was contaminated land.
- Substantial foundation improvements were required with earthworks over the previously placed waste. Robson provide innovative design solutions for foundation improvements which ensured the works stayed on time and budget.
- The football facility was situated alongside Lake Macquarie and management of groundwater was a key component to ensure foundation works and service reticulation were completed successfully.
