Robson Civil Projects Pty Ltd was engaged by BHP’s Mt Arthur Coal Pty Ltd to undertake significant land rehabilitation and land management across designated areas of the Mt Arthur Coal Mine (MAC) across FY 23, 24 & 25.
An impressive 297ha of land rehabilitation works have been completed during this contract, including bulk shape, overburden amelioration, topsoil placement, seed spreading and open rock drain construction.
Of particular note is the 145ha rehabilitated in FY24, this is the largest amount of land rehabilitated in one financial year at MAC.
The work under LRLM25 included, but was not limited to:
- Project Management
- Mobilisation
- Rehabilitation
- Rehabilitation maintenance and land management
- Engineering, quality management and handover
- Health, safety and environmental management
- Risk management
- Demobilisation
Throughout the project team has shown utmost commitment to best practice rehabilitation and land management, whilst also producing some exceptional land rehabilitation rates, with 145ha achieved in FY24.
