- Stakeholder and community consultation resulted in approval to extend working hours on the project, greatly reducing the total duration of the works.
- The trial of a new barrier system with smaller deflection limits allowed a larger working zone, allowing a new piled retaining wall to be constructed on a tight site footprint.
- The new retaining wall was constructed to support an additional turning lane onto Northcott Drive without impeding through traffic on the Pacific Highway.
