Greg Ferguson Steps Up for Brain Cancer Research in the 2025 Big Three Trek
News Greg Ferguson Steps Up for Brain Cancer Research in the 2025 Big Three Trek
The Countdown is On!
From Wednesday, 25 June, our Operations Manager Greg Ferguson (Fergie) will take on one of the toughest and most meaningful challenges of his life: walking 150km over three days from the NRL Headquarters in Sydney to McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle as part of the 2025 Big Three Trek.
This incredible endurance event raises vital awareness and funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation, which is dedicated to supporting brain cancer patients and accelerating life-saving research.
Greg has been preparing for months—training hard and staying focused—not just on the physical toll of the journey, but on the cause behind every step.
In a recent NBN News feature titled “Fergie steps up for Brain Cancer Research”, Greg shared,
“Some of the stories I’ve heard of people that have suffered with the disease is terrible, and if I can help make just a little bit of difference, I think that would be a good thing.”
Greg will be walking alongside a team of 50 inspiring individuals—including sports stars, media personalities, celebrities, and most importantly, those directly affected by brain cancer. Their shared goal is simple yet powerful: to raise hope, awareness, and much-needed funds for those fighting one of Australia’s most aggressive and underfunded cancers.
