CEO Walk in my Shoes for RMHC
News CEO Walk in my Shoes for RMHC
Imagine that you have just received the worst news possible – your child is seriously ill, and you need to relocate your family in order to receive the lifesaving treatment that your child needs.
The families at Ronald McDonald House are over 100kms away from home, their support system and everything they know. The House provides them with support to ensure they can concentrate on what is most important, their sick child and family.
You would drop everything right? But what does that actually mean?
These are just a few things Ronald McDonald House Charities provides to families
• A House that is open 365 days a year, to ensure families have a place to stay at no charge
• Support sick kids and their families through the Learning Program
• Make sure families have a home cooked meal
• And, most importantly, continue keeping families together during this difficult time
A Day in the Life Experience
On the 6th & 7th of March, Michelle King, our Business Development Manager will join other local business leaders, for the Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern NSW 2025 CEO Walk in my Shoes experience.
The group will be immersing themselves in a ‘day in the life’ of families with a seriously ill or injured child at our Ronald McDonald House.
“I’ve visited the house, through Robson’s ongoing partnership with RMHC NNSW, and have been humbled to meet some of the families staying, the staff and the volunteers,” said Michelle.
“As mum of 3, seeing the impact of this invaluable service for kids and their families facing challenging times has really cemented how important Ronald McDonald House is. I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to participate in the CEO Walk in my Shoes Initiative and raise funds and awareness to ensure this vital community service can help as many people as possible.”
Initiatives such as CEO Walk in my Shoes help Ronald McDonald House Charities continue providing a warm and supportive home-away-from-home for families of children travelling for treatment.
If it were your child or a loved one’s child, wouldn’t you want to know that they had this level of support?
